Garmin Girls on the Run SoleMates is proud to announce our partnership with Garmin International. Garmin offers innovative products which span a number of interests, including fitness, automotive, aviation, marine, outdoor recreation and wireless applications. Based in Olathe, Kansas, Garmin has been a supporter of the local Girls on the Run council for several years, and became a proud National Sponsor of Girls on the Run SoleMates in 2010. Our partnership provides financial and in-kind support, national marketing and awareness, and the opportunity to partner with an organization committed to community investment. While the Garmin company has provided local support through sponsorship and the donation of product, Garmin employees have also donated considerable time, treasure and talent to the Girls on the Run of Johnson County council as volunteer coaches, running buddies and SoleMates participants. Rebecca Sommers, Senior Copywriter at Garmin, recently wrote about her SoleMates experience: "I can't think of a better way to use my passion to help others than by fundraising for Girls on the Run through SoleMates.
